Tetovo Dialect
The Tetovo dialect ( mk, Тетовски дијалект, ''Tetovski dijalekt'') is a member of the western subgroup of the northern group of dialects of Macedonian. It is considered part of the transitional Torlakian dialects. It is spoken by the population in the north-western part of North Macedonia. This dialect is spoken in the city of Tetovo, Brvenica and Jegunovce Municipality (without the villages Vratnica, Belovište, Staro Selo and Rogačevo who speak the Vratnica dialect). One of the main characteristics of this dialect is the use of the words ''таќе'' (taḱe) – "on that way" and ''ваќе'' (vaḱe) – "on this way". Belovište ( mk, Беловиште) is a village in the municipality of Jegunovce, North Macedonia. It used to be part of the former municipality of Vratnica. Dialects Of The Macedonian Language
The dialects of Macedonian comprise the Slavic dialects spoken in the Republic of North Macedonia as well as some varieties spoken in the wider geographic region of Macedonia. They are part of the dialect continuum of South Slavic languages that joins Macedonian with Bulgarian to the east and Torlakian to the north into the group of the Eastern South Slavic languages. The precise delimitation between these languages is fleeting and controversial. Kiril Peychinovich
Kiril Peychinovich or Kiril Pejčinoviḱ ( bg, Кирил Пейчинович, sr, Кирил Пејчиновић, mk, Кирил Пејчиновиќ, Church Slavonic: Күриллъ Пейчиновићь (c. 1770 – 7 March 1845)) was a Bulgarian cleric, writer and enlightener, one of the first supporters of the use of modern Bulgarian (as opposed to Church Slavonic), and one of the early figures of the Bulgarian National Revival. Vratnica Dialect
Vratnica ( mk, Вратница) is a small village and community located in the Jegunovce Municipality of North Macedonia. Vratnica lies in the north-west, and is 22 km away from the city of Tetovo and 5 km away from Jažince - the border crossing point with Kosovo. Prior to 2003 Vratnica was the centre of the now disestablished Vratnica municipality. It is situated in the upper part of the Polog plain, at the foothills of northern part of Šar Mountain, under the Ljuboten peak. The village lies at 700–760 meters above the sea level. History The most probable origin of Vratnica's name comes from the word ''vratnica'', which means 'small door, gate' in Macedonian and other Slavic languages. Rogačevo
Rogačevo is a small village located in the north-western part of North Macedonia, 26 km away from the city of Tetovo and 1 km away from the village of Jažince, the border crossing point with Kosovo. It used to be part of the former municipality of Vratnica. Rogacevo is situated in the upper part of the Polog plain, at the foothills of the northern part of the Šar Mountains, under the Luboten peak. Around a hundred houses are present with about 500 people living here. Since the time the village was founded, it has been Christian Orthodox. Brvenica ( mk, , sq, Bërvenicë ) is a village in the municipality of Brvenica, North Macedonia. It is the seat of the Brvenica Municipality.
