''Teta, Alf Marra'' (Arabic for: Grandma, A Thousand Times) is an Arabic documentary film about a feisty Beiruti grandmother. The 50-minute film was produced in 2010 as a UAE/Qatar/Lebanon co-production with the financial support of the Doha Film Institute and Screen Institute Beirut. The film was produced by Veritas Films. It was the first film to be released by a company based in Twofour54, Abu Dhabi’s media content creation freezone. “Teta, Alf Marra” achieved several ‘firsts’ for the regional filmmaking industry. It was the first locally produced documentary to show in cinemas in the UAE and secure regional distribution. It was also the first documentary produced in the GCC to qualify for the Academy Awards, with theatrical runs in Los Angeles and New York City. Mahmoud Kaabour (in Arabic محمود قعبور) (born March 11, 1979) is a filmmaker, writer, and public speaker from Beirut. Education and occupation He is the founder and managing director of Veritas Films, a UAE based company that specializes in the creation and production of non-fiction content. In 2015, he was named as one of the 100 Most Powerful Arabs under 40. His commercial work includes directing tailor-made documentaries, including multiple films for The Ministry of Presidential Affairs and The Executive Affairs Authority in Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council, Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage, Dubai Holding and Dubai Investments subsidiaries. Carthage Film Festival
The Carthage Film Festival (CFF) is an annual film festival that takes place in Tunis and founded in 1966. It is also called by its abbreviation JCC, from its French name, , or by its Arabic title, (''Cinema Days of Carthage''). Initially biennial alternating with the Carthage Theatre Festival, the festival became an annual event in 2014. A directing committee chaired by the Tunisian Ministry of Culture, joined with professionals of the cinema industry, is in charge of the organization. Seattle International Film Festival
The Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF), held annually in Seattle, Washington since 1976, is among the top film festivals in North America. Fano Airport is an airport in Italy . located 1 km southeast of Fano and 10 km northwest of Mondolfo in the province of Pesaro and Urbino in the Marche region of Italy. The airport is used for general aviation, with no commercial airline service. World War II During World War II Fano Airfield was built by the United States Army Corps of Engineers as a temporary wartime airfield with a hard earth or pierced steel planking (PSP) runway and parking apron. With few or no permanent structures, tents were used for ground support operations and personnel billeting.
