Ulric-Joseph Tessier
Ulric-Joseph Tessier (May 3, 1817 – April 7, 1892) was a Quebec lawyer, judge, seigneur, and politician who was a member of the Senate of Canada representing the Gulf division from 1867 to 1873 and served as mayor of Quebec City from 1853 to 1854. He was born Joseph-Ulric Tessier in Quebec City in 1817 and studied at the Petit Séminaire de Québec. He articled in law with Hector-Simon Huot and was admitted to the bar in 1839. Tessier was elected to city council in 1846. The following year, he married Marguerite-Adèle Kelly, heiress to the seigneury of Rimouski. In 1851, he was elected to the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Canada for Portneuf. He helped found the North Shore Railway in 1853 and, in 1858, the Banque Nationale, serving as its first president. Robert Tessier
Robert W. Tessier (June 2, 1934 – October 11, 1990) was an American actor and stuntman who was best known for playing heavy, menacing characters in films and on television. Early life Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, of Abenaki and French descent, Tessier served as a paratrooper in the Korean War earning both a Silver Star and Purple Heart. Performing career Tessier was an accomplished motorcycle rider doing stunts in the circus. These skills helped him secure his first film role in ''The Born Losers'' directed by Tom Laughlin. With his shaven head, size and threatening appearance, Tessier went on to play a series of villainous roles on both TV and in film. Orval Tessier
Orval Roy Tessier (June 30, 1933 – August 25, 2022) was a Canadian professional ice hockey centre and coach who played parts of three seasons in the National Hockey League for the Montreal Canadiens and Boston Bruins between 1954 and 1960, appearing in a total of 59 regular season games. The rest of his career, which lasted from 1953 to 1965, was spent in the minor leagues, where he was a solid offensive player. He won two scoring titles with the Eastern Professional Hockey League's Kingston Frontenacs, and was voted the league's most valuable player and most sportsmanlike player in the 1961–62 season. After playing, Tessier had a successful coaching career. In junior ice hockey, Tessier coached the Cornwall Royals to Memorial Cup victory in 1972. Mary Teissier (born Maria Petrovna Perevostchikova; 27 December 1917 – 1 August 1990) was a Ukrainian-French socialite, heiress, interior designer, and art collector. Jules Tessier (April 16, 1852 – January 6, 1934) was a Canadian lawyer and politician. He was born in Quebec City, Quebec, the son of Ulric-Joseph Tessier and Mariane Perrault. He was educated at the Quebec seminary and at the Jesuit college in Montreal, and was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 1874. He was created a Queen's Counsel in 1899. A practising lawyer, he ran unsuccessfully for Mayor of Quebec City in 1894. He was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Quebec in the riding of Portneuf in the 1886 election. A Liberal, he was re-elected in 1890, 1892, 1897, and acclaimed in 1900. From 1897 to 1901, he was Speaker of the Legislative Assembly. He resigned in 1903, when he was appointed to the Senate of Canada representing the senatorial division of De la Durantaye, Quebec. A Liberal, he died in office in 1934.
