Erin Routliffe
Erin Hope Routliffe (born April 11, 1995) is a New Zealand professional tennis player who previously represented Canada. She reached a career-high doubles ranking of world No. 29 on 8 August 2022 and a career-high junior rank of No. 17 on 21 January 2013. She studied at the University of Alabama and was part of their tennis team from September 2013 until her graduation in May 2017, majoring in public relations. Routliffe is a two-time NCAA doubles champion with Maya Jansen for the 2014 and 2015 seasons. Her win in the 2018 Hardee's Pro Classic in Dothan, Alabama allowed her to break into the top 200 in the doubles rankings for the first time, while her win two weeks later in Charleston, South Carolina pushed her into the top 150. Her runner-up finish at the Washington Open took her into the top 100. Her first WTA doubles title came at the 32nd Palermo Ladies Open in July 2021. Para swimming is an adaptation of the sport of swimming for athletes with disabilities. Para swimmers compete at the Summer Paralympic Games and at other sports competitions throughout the world. The sport is governed by the International Paralympic Committee. Both men and women compete in para swimming, racing against competitors of their own gender. Swimming has been a part of the Paralympic program since the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, Italy. The Parapan American Games is an international multi-sport event for athletes with physical disabilities held every four years after every Pan American Games. The first Games were held in 1999 in Mexico City, Mexico. The 2003 Parapan American Games was the last Parapan American Games that was not held in the same city as the Pan American Games. The most recent games was the 5th Parapan American Games which took place in 2019 with the host city being Lima, Peru. The 2018 Commonwealth Games, officially known as the XXI Commonwealth Games and also known as Gold Coast 2018, was an international multi-sport event for members of the Commonwealth that were held on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, between 4 and 15 April 2018. The Commonwealth Games, often referred to as the Friendly Games or simply the Comm Games, are a quadrennial international multi-sport event among athletes from the Commonwealth of Nations.
