Districts Of Kenya
Sub-counties are the decentralised units through which county governments of Kenya will provide functions and services. Except for the parts which fall under urban areas, sub-counties will coincide with the constituencies created under article 89 of the Constitution of Kenya. Sub-counties will be headed by a sub-county administrator, appointed by a County Public Service Board. Under the former Constitution of Kenya, the Provinces of Kenya were subdivided into a number of districts (''wilaya''). Western Province (Kenya)
After the 2013 general election, and the coming into effect of the new constitution, provinces became defunct and the country was now divided into 47 counties. Each county has its own government and therefore there is no central regional capital. Western Province became the Western region, comprising four counties: Kakamega, Bungoma, Vihiga, and Busia. Kakamega is the seat of government for Kakamega County, Bungoma County has its seat in Bungoma town, Busia County has the Assemble in Busia, Vihiga County in Vihiga town, all the County governments and governors are answerable to the people not to the national government. The Western Region ( sw, Magharibi) of Kenya, bordering Uganda, is one of former Kenya's seven administrative provinces outside Nairobi. Malaba, Kenya is a town in Teso North Sub-County, Busia County, on Kenya's western border with Uganda. It sits across the ''Malaba River'', which forms the international border from Malaba, Uganda. Amagoro Constituency
Amagoro Constituency was an electoral constituency in Kenya's former Western Province. It was the only constituency in the now-defunct Teso District. Sospeter Ojaamong represented the constituency for the Orange Democratic Movement in the National Assembly, and did so since 2002. In the 2007 general election, he was challenged by Gabriel Obasie of the recently created Party of National Unity. In 2010, the Teso district was eliminated and replaced by Busia County, and the electoral constituency was divided into Teso North Constituency and Teso South Constituency Teso South is a constituency in Kenya.
