Terézia Zakoucs
Terézia Zakoucs (born Terézia Mukics, sl, Terezija Zakouč) ( 1817 – May 2, 1885) was a Hungarian Slovene author. She was born in Felsőszölnök. She married György Zakoucs. In 1858 she completed her hymnal in the Prekmurje dialect ''Cantiones Ritkarócziensis.'' The book contains a number of hymns adapted from the hymnal of János Slejbics in Čepinci. Hungarian Slovenes
Hungarian Slovenes ( Slovene: ''Madžarski Slovenci'', hu, Magyarországi szlovének) are an autochthonous ethnic and linguistic Slovene minority living in Hungary. The largest groups are the Rába Slovenes ( sl, porabski Slovenci, dialectically: ''vogrski Slovenci, bákerski Slovenci, porábski Slovenci'') in the Rába Valley in Hungary between the town of Szentgotthárd and the borders with Slovenia and Austria. They speak the Prekmurje Slovene dialect. Felsőszölnök
Felsőszölnök ( sl, Gornji Senik, german: Oberzemming. la, Zelnuk Superior) is a village in Vas County, Hungary. It is the westernmost point of Hungary, and lies on the borders with Slovenia and Austria. Location The nearest settlements are Oberdrosen in Jennersdorf, Burgenland to the northwest, and Neradnovci in the Municipality of Gornji Petrovci, Slovenia to the south. Prekmurje Slovene, also known as the Prekmurje dialect, East Slovene, or Wendish ( sl, prekmurščina, prekmursko narečje, hu, vend nyelv, muravidéki nyelv, Prekmurje dialect: ''prekmürski jezik, prekmürščina, prekmörščina, prekmörski jezik, panonska slovenščina''), is a Slovene dialect belonging to a Pannonian dialect group of Slovene. It is used in private communication, liturgy, and publications by authors from Prekmurje. It is spoken in the Prekmurje region of Slovenia and by the Hungarian Slovenes in Vas County in western Hungary. It is closely related to other Slovene dialects in neighboring Slovene Styria, as well as to Kajkavian with which it retains partial mutual intelligibility and forms a dialect continuum with other South Slavic languages.
