Giulia Terzi
Giulia Terzi (born 14 August 1995) is an Italian Paralympic swimmer who competes in international level events. She was diagnosed with congenital scoliosis aged four. She competed at the 2020 Summer Paralympics, in Women's 4 × 50 mixed freestyle relay, winning a silver medal, and in Women's 50 metre butterfly S7 winning a bronze medal. Biography Terzi was a former gymnast at a young age but switched to Paralympic swimming after her impairment worsened causing her to have problems with her left leg and arm. She won three medals at her international debut at the 2019 World Para Swimming Championships in London. Zuhdi Labib Terzi (née Zuhdi Labib Suleiman Tarazi 20 February 1924 – 1 March 2006) served as the first Palestinian Ambassador to the United Nations from 1974 to 1991. Ambassador to the UN Terzi was the first Ambassador, Permanent Observer of Palestine to the United Nations and served from 1974 to 1991. Terzi successfully fought attempts by the United States to close down the Mission, and following the 1988 Declaration of the Independence of the State of Palestine, Terzi changed the role of the Ambassador from representing the Palestinian Liberation Organization to representing the State of Palestine. Semih Terzi (1968 – 15 July 2016) was a general in the Turkish Army, who was shot at the headquarters of the Special Forces Command during the attempted Turkish coup d'état on 15 July 2016. Mehmet Terzi (born May 5, 1955) is a medal-winning former long-distance runner from Turkey, who specialized in running marathons. He served as the president of the Turkish Athletic Federation ( tr, Türkiye Atletizm Federasyonu) (TAF) for nine years between 2004 and 2013. Terzi was born on May 5, 1955 at Kurtköy in Bilecik Province, mid-western Turkey. Margherita Terzi was a Venice, Venetian pastellist of the eighteenth century. Terzi was related to the Bologna, Bolognese painter Cristoforo Terzi. She is recorded as having been a pupil of Rosalba Carriera, who in 1752 gave the sum of 200 ducats "alle due sorelle Margherita e Maria Terzi". Her work was known as well to the English pastellist Catherine Read, who in correspondence with Carriera dating to 1756 sent compliments to Terzi and offered to provide her with more paper.Profile
