Terry Teruo Kawamura (December 10, 1949 – March 20, 1969) was a United States Army soldier and a recipient of the Medal of Honor for his actions in the Vietnam War. Vietnam War military service and death Terry Kawamura joined the Army in Oahu, Hawaii in 1968, and by March 20, 1969, was serving as a Corporal in the 173rd Engineer Company, 173rd Airborne Brigade. On that day, at Camp Radcliff, Republic of Vietnam, Kawamura smothered an enemy-thrown explosive with his body, sacrificing his life to protect those around him. Terry Kawamura, aged 19 at his death, was buried in Mililani Memorial Park, Mililani, Hawaii. is a former Japanese football player and manager. He played for Japan national team. Club career Nimura was born in Kyoto on May 2, 1943. After graduating from Waseda University, he joined Toyo Industries in 1966. The club won Japan Soccer League champions 4 times ( 1966, 1967, 1968, 1970) and Emperor's Cup 2 times (1967, 1969). is a Japanese jazz bassist and record producer. Early life Nakamura was born in Tokyo on 3 March 1942. Everyone in his immediate family were artists. He studied at Nihon University before moving to New York in 1964. He studied there with Reggie Workman. Later life and career Nakamura in 1969 joined drummer Roy Haynes's ensemble; that same year he also formed a band with Steve Grossman and Lenny White, who both went on to play on his debut as a leader, 1973's ''Unicorn''. Nakamura played both acoustic and electric bass on the album, which was recorded in 1973 and released by Three Blind Mice. Nakamura formed the Rising Sun band in the mid-1970s. Teruo Nakamura
was a Taiwanese-Japanese soldier of the Imperial Japanese Army who fought for Japan in World War II and did not surrender until 1974. He was the last known Japanese holdout to surrender after the end of hostilities in 1945. Military service Nakamura was an Amis aborigine, born 8 October 1919. In November 1943, he enlisted in a Takasago Volunteer Unit of the Imperial Japanese Army. Nakamura was stationed on Morotai Island, in the Dutch East Indies, shortly before the Allies overran that island in the September 1944 Battle of Morotai. Allegedly, the Imperial Japanese Army declared Nakamura dead on 13 November 1944. After the Allies captured the island, it appears Nakamura remained there with other stragglers well into the 1950s, though setting off for extended periods on his own. In 1956, apparently, he relinquished his allegiance with his fellow holdouts, and set off to construct a solitary camp consisting of a small hut in a fenced field.
