Terry Robb
Terry Robb is a Canadian fingerstyle guitarist, composer, arranger and record producer living in the United States. He plays electric and acoustic guitar, and is associated with the American Primitive Guitar genre through his collaboration with steel string guitarist John Fahey. He is a member of the Oregon Music Hall of Fame and Cascade Blues Association Hall of Fame, and was honored with the eponymous "Terry Robb" Muddy Award for Best Acoustic Guitar in 2011. His original compositions draw on the Delta blues, ragtime, folk music, country music and jazz traditions. Oregon Music Hall Of Fame
The Oregon Music Hall of Fame is an award honoring musicians from the U.S. state of Oregon. The first induction ceremony took place on October 13, 2007. History The Oregon Music Hall of Fame was conceived of in the 1990s by a group called the Oregon Music Coalition. Over the years they elected 50 Oregon musicians and bands to the hall of fame. The group eventually disbanded, but in 2004, the hall of fame was revitalized and a group reformed as the Oregon Music Hall of Fame non-profit organization. The original inductees will continue to be honored, while new nominees will include musicians, producers, disc jockeys, and promoters. The group plans to build an Oregon Music Hall of Fame building that will house music exhibits and memorabilia and host music education seminars. Blues rock is a fusion music genre that combines elements of blues and rock music. Blues
Blues is a music genre and musical form which originated in the Deep South of the United States around the 1860s. The American folk music revival began during the 1940s and peaked in popularity in the mid-1960s. Lawrence Welk (March 11, 1903 – May 17, 1992) was an American accordionist, bandleader, and television impresario, who hosted the ''The Lawrence Welk Show'' from 1951 to 1982.
