Terry Moulton
Terry Moulton (born July 19, 1946) is a former Republican member of the Wisconsin Senate, who represented the 23rd district from 2011 to 2019. He was previously a member of the Wisconsin Assembly, representing the 68th district from 2005 to 2009. In March 2018, Moulton announced that he would be retiring from the senate and was endorsing Representative Kathy Bernier to be his successor. Early life, education and career Born in Whitefish, Montana, Terry moved to Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, with his family when he was two years old. He grew up on the shores of Little Lake Wissota and spent most of his life in the Chippewa Valley. For over two decades, Moulton has owned and operated Mouldy's Archery and Tackle in Lake Hallie. He founded Mouldy's Tackle Company, which manufactures the muskie lure, the "Hawg Wobbler". Wisconsin Senate, District 23
The 23rd Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. Located in northwest Wisconsin, the district comprises all of Chippewa County and most of Clark County, as well as eastern Eau Claire County, eastern Dunn County, western Marathon County, and parts of northwest Jackson County and northeast Trempealeau County. The district is mostly rural, but contains the cities of Black River Falls and Chippewa Falls, most of the city of Marshfield, and part of the city of Eau Claire. Fishing Lure
A fishing lure is a broad type of artificial angling baits that are replicas designed to mimic real prey animals and attract the attention of predatory fish, using appearances, flashy colors, bright reflections, movements, vibrations and/or loud noises to appeal to the fish's predation instinct and entice it into striking. As a terminal tackle, lures are attached to the end of a fishing line and most are equipped with one or more hooks that come in various styles. The ''Wisconsin Blue Book'' is a biennial publication of the Wisconsin's Legislative Reference Bureau. The ''Blue Book'' is an almanac containing information on the government, economics, demographics, geography and history of the state of Wisconsin. It was published annually from 1879 to 1883, and then biennially since 1885 to the present day. It is currently published in the fall of every odd-numbered year, corresponding to the start of each new biennium of the Wisconsin state government. Since 1995, the ''Blue Book'' has been available free in electronic form. Many editions also provide a special article of substantial length, focusing on either a natural feature or some social aspect about the state. Wisconsin Government Accountability Board
The Wisconsin Government Accountability Board (G.A.B.) was a regulatory agency for the State of Wisconsin which administered and enforced Wisconsin law pertaining to campaign finance, elections, ethics and lobbying. The agency was re-organized, over the opposition of many Democratic legislators, into two separate agencies (Ethics and Elections Commissions) following several controversies. Composition The Board consisted of six members, all former state judges, who serve staggered, six-year terms. Board members were appointed by the Governor, and served part-time, receiving '' per diems'' for each meeting they attended. Wisconsin State Senate
The Wisconsin Senate is the upper house of the Wisconsin State Legislature. Together with the larger Wisconsin State Assembly they constitute the legislative branch of the state of Wisconsin. The powers of the Wisconsin Senate are modeled after those of the U.S. Senate. The Wisconsin Constitution ties the size of the State Senate to that of the Assembly, by limiting its size to no less than 1/4, nor more than 1/3, of the size of the Assembly. Currently, Wisconsin is divided into 33 Senate Districts (1/3 of the current Assembly membership of 99) apportioned throughout the state based on population as determined by the decennial census, for a total of 33 senators.
