Terry Randall Anderson (born December 25, 1956) is an American musician. Anderson is a drummer, vocalist and songwriter from North Carolina. He was a member of local bands the Woods and the Fabulous Knobs. He first gained widespread attention as the writer of the song "Battleship Chains" by the band The Georgia Satellites on their 1986 debut album ''Georgia Satellites The Georgia Satellites are an American Southern rock band from Atlanta, Georgia. The Yayhoos
The Yayhoos are an American country rock group led by Eric "Rosco" Ambel (Joan Jett & The Blackhearts) with Dan Baird (The Georgia Satellites). They were called "the Traveling Wilbury's of Now Americana" and "the rig-rock supergroup from heck". Background The Yayhoos formed as a "temporary band" in 1993 and consisted of "an all-star lineout of country punk veterans," including Eric "Rosco" Ambel on guitar/vocals, Dan Baird on guitar/vocals, Keith Christopher on bass, and Terry Anderson on drums/vocals. Daniel John Baird (born December 12, 1953) is an American singer-songwriter, musician and producer. He is best known as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist from the 1980s rock band The Georgia Satellites. Baird formed The Georgia Satellites in 1980 and left the band in 1990 to pursue a solo career. He is often credited as one of the pioneers in cowpunk and alt-country music, which combines elements of rock music, country music, outlaw country, and punk rock.
