''The Terrorizers'' is a 1986 drama film by acclaimed Taiwanese filmmaker Edward Yang. Plot The film concerns the coincidental interactions between three groups of people in Taipei: a young woman and the tough petty criminal gang of Native Taiwanese she hangs out with; a Mainlander doctor and his novelist wife; and a young photographer who observes the life of the city unfolding around him, in an echo of the protagonist of Michelangelo Antonioni's ''Blowup''. Edward Yang
Edward Yang (; November 6, 1947 – June 29, 2007) was a Taiwanese filmmaker. Yang, along with fellow auteurs Hou Hsiao-hsien and Tsai Ming-liang, was one of the leading film-makers of the Taiwanese New Wave and Taiwanese cinema. He won the Best Director Award at Cannes for his 2000 film ''Yi Yi''. Youth and early career Yang was born in Shanghai in 1947, and grew up in Taipei, Taiwan. Hsiao Yeh
Li Yuan (; born 31 October 1951), better known by his pen name Hsiao Yeh (), is a Taiwanese novelist and screenwriter. Early life and education Li's family is of Hakka descent and originates from Wuping County, moving to Taiwan in 1949. Li Yuan was born in Monga, Taipei, on 31 October 1951. His father was a statistician and his mother taught writing at National Taiwan Normal University, later becoming a journalist. Li's father gave his eldest son the pen name Hsiao Yeh, and both parents encouraged him to write. Li read classics such as ''War and Peace'' and ''The Old Man and the Sea'' at the age of 11, at the behest of his father and was forced to write reports on them afterward, though Li preferred to draw cartoons and perform plays instead. After studying biology at NTNU, Li earned a graduate degree in microbiology from the State University of New York at Buffalo in the United States. Ku Pao-ming
Ku Pao-ming (; 8 April 1950 – 19 March 2022) was a Taiwanese actor and comedian. He appeared with the in ''Art'' (2003), alongside Chin Shih-chieh and Lee Li-chun, as well as ''The Apartment'' (2006). Ku also performed in ''Legitimate Crimes'' (2009) with the Ping-Fong Acting Troupe and its founder Hugh Lee. Ku died of congestive heart failure on 19 March 2022, at the age of 71.喜劇泰斗顧寶明心肺衰竭過世 享壽72歲

Chin Shih-chieh (; born 29 December 1951) is a Taiwanese actor, director and playwright. Chin is known for his work with the , the , and the . By 1980, he was known as a director, leading the performances of ''Ho Chu’s New Match'' for Lanling. He directed the 2002 production of ''She is Walking, She is Smiling'' staged at the National Theatre in Taipei, by the Performance Workshop.
