Terrance Dean
Terrance Dean (September 8, 1968 - August 11, 2022) was an author, academic, and a former MTV executive. He is best known for his 2008 memoir '' Hiding in Hip-Hop'' and is the author of books including ''Reclaim Your Power! A 30-Day Guide to Hope, Healing and Inspiration for Men of Color'' (2003), ''Straight From Your Gay Best Friend – The Straight Up Truth About Relationships, Love, and Having A Fabulous Life'' (2010), ''Visible Lives: Three Stories in Tribute to E. Lynn Harris'', (2010). In 2011, Dean made his fiction debut with his novel, ''MOGUL''. Dean was a postdoctoral fellow in Black Studies at Denison University since 2019 . In religious studies, homiletics ( grc, ὁμιλητικός ''homilētikós'', from ''homilos'', "assembled crowd, throng") is the application of the general principles of rhetoric to the specific art of public preaching. One who practices or studies homiletics may be called a ''homilist'', or more simply a ''preacher''.
