Terra Nova Adventure Park
Terra Nova Adventure Park, located in the City of Richmond, British Columbia, within the Terra Nova Rural Nature Park, is an innovative playground. Its sustainable design works to accomplish an alternative to contemporary playgrounds found throughout the Lower Mainland, as most of its features are made of ropes, yellow cedar wood, and other products that resemble nature. The 'Homestead' and 'Paddock' areas are the two distinct zones of the playground. The adventure park was completed in September 2014 and it is a result of an intensive community planning process. The City of Richmond is working towards increasing its number of innovative parks. Minoru Park
Minoru Park is a park located on the site of a former horse-racing track and airstrip in Richmond, British Columbia. The park's running track is often used by School District 38 Richmond for school competitions, such as track and field. The area is home to the Minoru Arenas, Minoru Track, Minoru Aquatic Centre and Richmond Cultural Centre (which in turn houses the Richmond Public Library's main branch, City of Richmond Archives, Richmond Art Gallery and Richmond Museum). Iona Island (British Columbia)
Iona Island in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada was formerly an island, but is now a peninsula physically connected to Sea Island via a causeway and Ferguson Road. Iona is home to a primary sewage treatment plant (located in the middle), an animal refuge and a park (Iona Beach Regional Park). The Iona Sewage Plant is located near the centre of the island and has tours for the public. Iona Beach Regional Park also features a beach adjacent to wildlife from the nearby animal refuge. Steveston, founded in the 1880s, is a neighbourhood of Richmond in Metro Vancouver. On the southwest tip of Lulu Island, the village is a historic port and salmon canning centre at the mouth of the South Arm of the Fraser River. The Richmond Night Market is an annual night market founded by entrepreneur Raymond Cheung. It is held during the summer months in Richmond, British Columbia in Canada. It runs on weekends and is held near Bridgeport Station of the Canada Line next to River Rock Casino Resort. The Richmond Nature Park is a bog-forest nature park located in the city of Richmond, British Columbia, Richmond, British Columbia. The Richmond Nature Park covers 200 acres of the raised peat bog habitat that has previously covered large sections of Lulu Island.
