Tero Aarnio
Tero Kalevi Aarnio (born 17 April 1984) is a Finnish motorcycle speedway rider. Career Aarnio was a member of Finland team at 2007 Speedway World Cup. This led to his signing for Berwick Bandits for the 2008 and 2009 seasons. He then joined Scunthorpe Scorpions in 2010 and 2011 and Workington Comets in 2012 and 2013 He then spent the 2014 and 2015 seasons with Glasgow and Newcastle respectively, the 2016 season with Scunthorpe and returned to Newcastle in 2018. In 2019 he rode for Birmingham. After medalling six times at the Finnish Individual Speedway Championship he finally won the national title, when winning the 2020 Finnish Individual Speedway Championship to become champion of Finland. In 2021 and 2022, he rode for Scunthorpe again, in the SGB Championship 2021 and the SGB Championship 2022. In 2022, he also rode for Tarnów in the Polish Speedway Second League. Rospiggarna
Rospiggarna is a motorcycle speedway team based in Hallstavik, Sweden. The club was founded in 1930 and were named ''Orion'', although it did not compete in the Swedish speedway leagues until 1966. The club joined the Swedish Division Three in 1966 and the team name was changed to ''Stjärnorna'' (English: The Stars). In 1978 the name was changed again to Rospiggarna which is the demonym for people from Roslagen, where Hallstavik is situated. Rospiggarna have won four Elitserien (speedway), Elitserien Championships and has also been the home team of 4 former Speedway World Championship, World Champions, Tony Rickardsson, Per Jonsson, Greg Hancock and Jason Crump. In 2010 it was announced that the club voluntarily made the decision to drop down a division due to financial problems. The European Pairs Speedway Championship is an annual speedway event held in different countries organized by the European Motorcycle Union (UEM) since 2004. The Individual Speedway European Championship is an annual individual speedway event organized by the European Motorcycle Union (UEM) to determine the champion of Europe. The competition was founded in 2001 and was initially staged as a one-off meeting before the single event was replaced by the Speedway European Championship series in 2012. History From 1955 to 1975, the European Final was staged as the final qualifying round for the World Speedway Championship, although this did not include British riders who had a separate qualifying round. The Team Speedway Under-21 World Championship is a speedway competition to determine the World Championship for national Under-21 teams. The sport's equivalent of the Under-21 World Cup in football, as of 2022 the title is awarded to the winners of SON2, the Under-21 division of the Speedway of Nations. The 2008 FIM Nordicbet Speedway World Cup (SWC) is the 8th FIM Speedway World Cup season. The Final took place on July 19 2008 in Vojens, Denmark. The tournament was won by host team Denmark (49 pts) and they beat defending champion Poland (46 pts), Sweden (39 pts) and Australia (21 pts) in the Final.
