Voetbalvereniging Terneuzense Boys (founded 1949) is an association football club in Terneuzen, Netherlands. Since 2019 Terneuzense Boys plays in the Eerste Klasse. Its home ground is Zuidersportpark and colors since foundation orange and black. History Terneuzense Boys was founded on 1 May 1949. At foundation 45 players registered, enabling it to immediately start with two teams. The first squad is marked by three distinct periods. From 1949 through 1961 (12 years) it played outside the national league system of the KNVB. From 1961 through 1998 (37 years) it played exclusively in the Vierde Klasse, Vierde and Derde Klasse. During this period it won section championships in the Vierde Klasse in 1966 and in the Derde Klasse in 1998. Terneuzen
Terneuzen () is a city and municipality in the southwestern Netherlands, in the province of Zeeland, in the middle of Zeelandic Flanders. Hoedekenskerke
Hoedekenskerke is a village in the Dutch province of Zeeland. It is a part of the municipality of Borsele, and lies about 22 km east of Middelburg. History The village was first mentioned around 1280 as Hoedekinskerke, and means "(private) church of Oedekin (Oede)". Hoedekenskerke is a road village along the Westerschelde which developed in the 12th century. In 1454, a ferry to Terneuzen was established. The ferry service closed in 1972. The Dutch Reformed church dated from the 15th century. Around 1850, it was rebuilt and only the original choir remained. The church was damaged during World War II, and restored between 1948 and 1949. The grist mill De Koutermolen was built in 1874. It remained in service until 1964. The COVID-19 pandemic in the Netherlands has resulted in confirmed cases of COVID-19 and deaths. The virus reached the Netherlands on 27 February 2020, when its first COVID-19 case was confirmed in Tilburg. Omroep Zeeland is a public broadcaster located in Zeeland, Netherlands. Founded in 1988, the media organization is active in television, radio, and internet.
