Casper Terho
Casper Mikael Terho (born 24 June 2003) is a Finnish professional football player who plays for Belgian Pro League club Royale Union Saint-Gilloise and the Finland national team. Early career Terho grew up in Vuosaari, East Helsinki, and played football in the youth teams of Helsinki-based clubs Malmin Palloseura (MPS), Puotinkylän Valtti, PK-35 and FC Kontu. In 2018, he joined the youth academy of HJK Helsinki. Club career HJK Casper Terho made his professional debut for Helsingin Jalkapalloklubi on the 26 August 2020, coming on as a substitute in the Veikkausliiga 2-0 home win against Seinäjoen Jalkapallokerho. Emma Terho
Emma Kristiina Terho (born 17 December 1981) is a Finnish retired ice hockey defenseman and the current Chair of the IOC Athletes' Commission. She previously served as general manager of Kiekko-Espoo Naiset in the Naisten Liiga. At the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano she became the youngest Winter Olympian to medal for Finland, winning a bronze medal at the age of 16 years 54 days. Playing career Ohio State University Terho played college ice hockey with the Ohio State Buckeyes women's ice hockey program while attending Ohio State University (OSU) during 2000 to 2004. Johannes Terho
Johannes Terho (9 December 1885 – 28 March 1961) was a Finnish chess player, Finnish Chess Championship silver medalist (1922). Biography Johannes Terho by education was a mathematician. He worked in the financial departments of various Finnish ministries. Since 1922 Terho served in Ministry of Defence. He rose to the position of chief accountant. Johannes Terho retired in 1952. Johannes Terho participated in chess tournaments since 1911. In the 1922 Finnish Chess Championship, he competed with Anatol Tschepurnoff throughout the tournament. The result of the tournament was decided by their internecine party in the penultimate round. Tschepurnoff won and became the champion of the country. Terho finished the tournament in 2nd place. Olga Terho
Olga Lydia Terho (née Virtanen) was a Finnish politician. She represented the Finnish People's Democratic League in parliament 1945–1948. Olga Virtanen was born on 23 July 1910 in Siikainen, a rural village in south-western Finland.Eduskunta. She began as a seamstress working at age of 15. In 1929 she moved to Lahti. Sampo Terho
In Finnish mythology, the ''Sampo'' () is a magical device or object described in many different ways that was constructed by the blacksmith Ilmarinen and that brought riches and good fortune to its holder, akin to the horn of plenty (cornucopia) of Greek mythology. When the Sampo was stolen, Ilmarinen's homeland fell upon hard times. He sent an expedition to retrieve it, but in the ensuing battle it was smashed and lost at sea. In the Kalevala The Sampo is a pivotal element of the plot of the Finnish epic poem ''Kalevala'', compiled in 1835 (and expanded in 1849) by Elias Lönnrot based on Finnish oral tradition.
