Teresita Castillo
Teresita Lat Castillo also known as Sister Teresing (July 4, 1927 – November 16, 2016) was a Filipino Roman Catholic nun and a visionary who reported Marian apparitions in Lipa, Batangas, Philippines in the year 1948. These reported apparitions have been the subject of controversy. An initial investigation report in 1951 was signed by six Roman Catholic bishops and declared the Lipa apparitions as "non-supernatural". Despite the local bishop's attempt to re-open the investigation, in 2016 the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith upheld the earlier ruling. Life Castillo came from an educated and religious family that may have influenced her interest in religious works. She was the youngest of seven children of former Batangas Governor Modesto Castillo. Lipa, Batangas
Lipa (), officially the City of Lipa ( fil, Lungsod ng Lipa), is a 1st class component city in the province of Batangas, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 372,931 people. It is the first city charter in the province and one of five cities in Batangas alongside Batangas City, Calaca, Santo Tomas, and Tanauan. Alfredo María Aranda Obviar (29 August 1889 – 1 October 1978) was a Filipino bishop the founder of the Congregation of the Missionary Catechists of Saint Thérèse of the Infant Jesus, and was Bishop of Lucena until his death. His cause for beatification is currently underway, having been declared Venerable by Pope Francis. Early life Alfredo María Obviar y Aranda was born on 29 August 1889 in Mataás na Lupa, Lipa, Batangas to Telesforo Obviar and Florentina Catalina Aranda. He became an orphan at the early age, and was put under the care of his relatives from his mother’s side. Obviar received his early religious instruction at the College of St. Francis Xavier in Manila run by the Society of Jesus, where he graduated in 1901. Gerhard Ludwig Müller (; born 31 December 1947) is a German cardinal of the Catholic Church. He served as the Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF) from his appointment by Pope Benedict XVI in 2012 until 2017. He was elevated to the rank of cardinal in 2014. Ramón Cabrera Argüelles, D.D., S.T.L. (born November 12, 1944) is a Filipino cleric who served as Archbishop of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Lipa in the province of Batangas on the island of Luzon, Philippines from 2004 to 2017. Prior to his appointment as archbishop, he was an auxiliary bishop of the same diocese, appointed to that position on November 26, 1993. Rufino Jiao Santos (August 26, 1908 – September 3, 1973) was the 29th Archbishop of Manila from February 10, 1953, until his death on September 3, 1973, and was the first Filipino elevated to the rank of cardinal.
