Teresa Ruiz López (born 21 December 1988) is a Mexican-American actress. Ruiz is best known for portraying cartel queen Isabella Bautista in the first two seasons of '' Narcos: Mexico'' as well as Carmen in ''Father Stu.'' She has been awarded several Best Actress awards internationally and is a Lifetime Member of the Actors Studio. Early life Teresa Ruiz was born in Santiago Matatlan, Oaxaca, Mexico and grew up in Los Angeles, California. Actors Studio training In 2013, Ruiz was invited by the late Martin Landau to become a member of the Actors Studio. The Actors Studio is a membership organization of professional actors led by Al Pacino and is based in New York City and Los Angeles. Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo (born January 8, 1946), commonly referred to by his aliases ''El Jefe de Jefes'' ("The Boss of Bosses") and ''El Padrino'' ("The Godfather"), is a convicted Mexican drug lord Kingpin. He was one of the founders of the Guadalajara Cartel in the 1970s. Throughout the 1980s, the cartel controlled much of the drug trafficking in Mexico and the corridors along the Mexico–United States border. Gregory James Nava (born April 10, 1949) is an American film director, producer and screenwriter. Personal life Nava was born in San Diego, of Mexican and Basque heritage. Nava graduated from St. Augustine High School (San Diego), St. Augustine High School in San Diego and went on to attend film school at UCLA where he earned an Master of Fine Arts, MFA in 1976.
