Teresa Cheung Tak-lan is a Hong Kong singer. Background She participated in the entertainment industry since she was a child (stage name Cheung Yuen-yuen 張圓圓), and was a member of the Four Golden Flowers. She rose to fame in Hong Kong through the 1980s on the back of a song that she sang for the TVB series ''The Good, The Bad And The Ugly''. She also sang the main theme for the TV series ''The Return of the Condor Heroes'' (1983) and three of its subthemes. Additionally, the main theme songs for the TV series ''Princess Cheung Ping'' (1981) and Blood-Stained Intrigue (1986) were sung by her as well. Cantopop
Cantopop (a contraction of "Cantonese pop music") or HK-pop (short for "Hong Kong pop music") is a genre of pop music written in standard Chinese and sung in Cantonese. Cantopop is also used to refer to the cultural context of its production and consumption. The genre began in the 1970s and became associated with Hong Kong popular music from the middle of the decade. Cantopop then reached its height of popularity in the 1980s and 1990s before slowly declining in the 2000s and experiencing a slight revival in the 2010s. Four Golden Flowers
The Four Golden Flowers was a TV theme song musical performance group in the early 1970s. They are one of the first all-girl modern music group in Hong Kong. The members include Lydia Shum (沈殿霞), Liza Wang (汪明荃), Felicia Wong (王愛明) and Teresa Cheung (張德蘭). The group once performed on the show Enjoy Yourself Tonight. Legacy Many famous Hong Kong actresses were in this group. The Four Golden Flowers produced Lydia Shum (Fei-Fei), who died on February 26, 2008, because of liver cancer.
