''Teresa'' is a 2015 television film directed by Jorge Dorado from a screenplay by Juanma Romero which stars Marian Álvarez as the title character alongside David Luque, Carla Díaz, Terele Pávez, Aitana Sánchez-Gijón, and Antonio de la Torre. Plot In 2015 Ávila, a teenager coping with her father's death and with school bullying opens a Teresa of Ávila's autobiography, with the plot going on to account for the 16th-century Carmelite nun's biography. Jorge Dorado (born December 8, 1976) is a Spanish director, screenwriter and producer. He received Goya Award nominations for his short film '' La guerra'', his documentary short ''Nuevos tiempos'', and his directorial feature film debut '' Mindscape''. Career He studied Communication Studies at the Complutense University of Madrid. He began his career working in as assistant director on films like '' Bad Education'' and ''Talk to Her'' by Pedro Almodóvar, ''The Devil's Backbone'' by Guillermo del Toro and ''Moulin Rouge!'' by Baz Luhrmann. ''Fotogramas'' is Spanish digital and print film magazine which has been in circulation since 1946. It is one of the early film magazines in Spain. History Founded in Barcelona, it was first published on 15 November 1946 by Antonio Nadal-Rodó and María Fernanda Gañán. On 5 February 1951, the magazine awarded their first Placa de San Juan Bosco award to actor Jesús Tordesillas for his performance in 1950 film ''Pequeñeces''.
