Terence Parr
Terence John Parr (born 1964 in Los Angeles) is a professor of computer science at the University of San Francisco. He is best known for his ANTLR parser generator and contributions to parsing theory. He also developed the StringTemplate engine for Java and other programming languages. Education Parr holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a Master's degree in Engineering, and a PhD in Computer Engineering from Purdue University. ANTLR
In computer-based language recognition, ANTLR (pronounced ''antler''), or ANother Tool for Language Recognition, is a parser generator that uses LL(*) for parsing. ANTLR is the successor to the Purdue Compiler Construction Tool Set (PCCTS), first developed in 1989, and is under active development.
