Tepatitlán Fútbol Club, also known as Alteños de Tepatitlán, is a Mexican professional Association football, football club based in Tepatitlán, Jalisco. It plays in Liga de Expansión MX, the second level division of Mexican football league system, Mexican football. The club was founded in 1944 as Club Deportivo Tepatitlán, then changed to its current name in 2020. The Stadium Gregorio "Tepa" Gómez is a multi-use stadium in Tepatitlán de Morelos, Jalisco, Mexico. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches and is the home stadium for Tepatitlán F.C. and Acatlán F.C. The stadium has a capacity of 8,085 people. The 2020–21 Liga de Expansión MX season is the first professional season of the second-tier football division in Mexico. The season is divided into two championships—the Torneo Apertura and the Torneo Clausura—each in an identical format and each contested by the same sixteen teams. Tepatitlán de Morelos is a city and municipality founded in 1530, in the central Mexican state of Jalisco.
