Teoman Duralı
Şaban Teoman Duralı (7 February 1947 – 6 December 2021) was a Turkish philosopher, thinker and academic at the Department of Philosophy, Ibn Haldun University. He wrote many articles and books and was widely published in areas such as history of philosophy, history of biology, linguistics, political philosophy and the philosophy of war. Life Duralı was born on 7 February 1947 at Kozlu, Zonguldak, to a Turkish father, Sabih Duralı, and German-born Hilda (née Kohlschmidt) Duralı. He finished his primary education at Zonguldak and Ankara. He completed his secondary education from TED Ankara College Foundation School. In 1973 he graduated from the Department of Philosophy at Faculty of Arts, Istanbul University. He attained his PhD in philosophy in 1977 on the philosophy of biology. Ibn Haldun University
Ibn Haldun University () or abbreviated as IHU, is a private foundation university located in Başakşehir, Istanbul. The university has a strong focus on the humanities and social sciences, and espouses a multilingual approach to education, namely in Turkish, English and Arabic. History IHU was established by the Turkish Youth and Education Service Foundation, set up by Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in 1996 when he was Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. The current rector is Prof. Dr. Atilla Arkan, who took over from his predecessor, the founding rector and president of IHU, Prof. Dr. Recep Şentürk in 2021. Fatih Mosque, Istanbul
The Fatih Mosque (, "Conqueror's Mosque" in English) is an Ottoman mosque off Fevzi Paşa Caddesi in the Fatih district of Istanbul, Turkey. The original mosque was constructed between 1463 and 1470 on the site of the Church of the Holy Apostles. Seriously damaged in the 1766 earthquake, it was rebuilt in 1771 to a different design. It is named after the Ottoman sultan Mehmed the Conqueror, known in Turkish as ''Fatih Sultan Mehmed'', who conquered Constantinople in 1453. The Sahn-ı Seman Medrese, once an important center for the study of theology, law, medicine, astronomy, physics and mathematics, formed part of the Fatih Mosque.
