State Route 128 (SR 128) is a state highway in western and western Middle Tennessee. It connects Pickwick Dam with Linden, via Savannah and Clifton. Route description Hardin County SR 128 begins as a primary highway in Hardin County in the community of Pickwick Dam at an intersection with SR 57, just north of the Mississippi state line. The highway then goes north and crosses overtop of Pickwick Landing Dam, which impounds the Tennessee River, before leaving Pickwick Dam and continuing north through rural areas. It then passes through the communities of Nixon, where it has an intersection with SR 226, and Walkertown before entering the city of Savannah and coming to an intersection and becoming concurrent with US 64/SR 15/ SR 69 in downtown. State Route 15 (SR 15) is a west–east route from Memphis to Monteagle. For much of its route it has an unsigned concurrency with U.S. Route 64. SR 15 does travel through the southern part of all 3 Grand Divisions of the state: West Tennessee, Middle Tennessee, and East Tennessee. Route description Shelby County SR 15 begins as a secondary highway in Shelby County in Northern Memphis at an interchange with SR 14 (Austin Peay Highway). It proceeds east to Bartlett and intersects US 70/US 79/US 64/ SR 1, where it becomes the unsigned companion route of US 64 and becomes a primary highway. A concurrency in a road network is an instance of one physical roadway bearing two or more different route numbers. When two roadways share the same right-of-way, it is sometimes called a common section or commons. Other terminology for a concurrency includes overlap, coincidence, duplex (two concurrent routes), triplex (three concurrent routes), multiplex (any number of concurrent routes), dual routing or triple routing. Iuka, Mississippi
Iuka is a city in and the county seat of Tishomingo County, Mississippi, United States. Its population was 3,028 at the 2010 census. Woodall Mountain, the highest point in Mississippi, is located just south of Iuka. History Iuka is built on the site of a Chickasaw Indian village that is thought to have been subordinate to the settlement at Underwood Village. The name ''"Iuka"'' comes from the name of one of the chiefs of the village. Iuka was founded by David Hubbard, a wagon train scout. Euro-American settlers arrived with the Memphis and Charleston Railroad in 1857. Before the American Civil War, the town boasted an all-female college, a boys' military academy, and a fine hotel. Tennessee State Route 228
State Route 228 (SR 228) is a long east-west state highway located entirely in the mountains of northern Wayne County, Tennessee. Route description SR 228 begins in Clifton at an intersection with SR 128 northeast of downtown and just north Hassell-Carroll Field Airport. It goes east as Morrison Creek Road to wind its way through mountains to leave Clifton and come to an intersection with Beech Creek Road, where SR 228 makes a sharp right turn to follow that road. The highway then traverses a narrow valley for several miles, where it passes through the community of Leatherwood. SR 228 then turns northeast and makes a very steep ascent up a mountain before coming to an end at an intersection with SR 13 between Waynesboro and Linden. The entire route of SR 228 is a two-lane highway and lies entirely on the Highland Rim.
