Tennessee Creek is a stream in Lake County, Colorado. It rises on the south side of Tennessee Pass near the Eagle County- Lake County line. The creek joins with the East Fork Arkansas River northwest of Leadville to form the Arkansas River. ''Lake County'' is a county located in the U.S. state of Colorado. As of the 2020 census, the population was 7,436. The county seat and the only municipality in the county is Leadville. Tennessee Pass elevation is a high mountain pass in the Rocky Mountains of central Colorado in the United States. The pass was named after Tennessee, the native state of a group of early prospectors. __TOC__ Route The pass traverses the Continental Divide north of Leadville in a gap between the northern end of the Sawatch Range to the west and the northern end of the Mosquito Range to the east.
