Tennant Creek Airport
Tennant Creek Airport is a small regional airport located near Tennant Creek, Northern Territory, Australia. Located one kilometre from the remote outback township of Tennant Creek, the airport caters to mining companies and small predominantly Australian Aboriginal, Aboriginal communities in the surrounding area, providing an important link for the local population with Alice Springs, Katherine, Northern Territory, Katherine, Darwin, Northern Territory, Darwin and other regional centres. Currently the airport is served by two airlines, Fly Tiwi (Hardy Aviation) operate twice weekly services to Darwin International Airport, Darwin. The Cessna 401 and 402 are a series of 6 to 10 seat, light twin-piston engine aircraft. RAAF Base Tindal
RAAF Base Tindal is a Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) military air base and civil aviation airfield located east southeast of the town of Katherine, Northern Territory in Australia. The base is currently home to No. 75 Squadron and a number of non-flying units, and also hosts the civilian Katherine Tindal Airport (also known as the Katharine Tindal Civilian Airport). First constructed in 1942, it was refurbished in the late 1960s as a bare base capable of being utilised when required. It was opened as a permanently manned RAAF base in 1989. Darwin International Airport is the busiest airport serving the Northern Territory and the tenth busiest airport in Australia. It is the only airport serving Darwin. Air medical services is a comprehensive term covering the use of air transportation, aeroplane or helicopter, to move patients to and from healthcare facilities and accident scenes. Personnel provide comprehensive prehospital and emergency and critical care to all types of patients during aeromedical evacuation or rescue operations aboard helicopter and propeller aircraft or jet aircraft. Cessna 441
The Cessna 441 Conquest II is the first turboprop powered aircraft designed by Cessna, and was meant to fill the gap between their jets and piston-engined aircraft. It was developed in November 1974, with the first aircraft delivered in September 1977. It is a pressurized, 8–9 passenger turbine development of the Cessna 404 Titan. Development The original design from 1972 for this aircraft was known as the Model 435, and was to be powered by Continental GTSIO-520X engines with three-bladed propellers.
