Tenkaichi Junior
is an annual professional wrestling round-robin tournament held by Pro Wrestling Zero1 to determine the top junior heavyweight wrestler in the promotion, typically contested in late November/December. In addition to Zero1 members, it has frequently included outside stars, mainly freelancers performing in the Japanese independent scene. The tournament has lately been presented as featuring two blocks, each with five participants, with the two block winners facing off in the final to determine the overall champion. In 2002, from 2006 to 2016, and between 2018 and 2019, the tournament featured only knock-out stages. Professional wrestling is a form of theater that revolves around staged wrestling matches. The mock combat is performed in a ring similar to the kind used in boxing, and the dramatic aspects of pro wrestling may be performed both in the ring or—as in televised wrestling shows—in backstage areas of the venue, in similar form to reality television. Professional wrestling as a form of theater evolved out of the widespread practice of match fixing among wrestlers in the early 20th century. Rather than sanction the wrestlers for their deceit as was done with boxers, the public instead came to see professional wrestling as a performance art rather than a sport. Ikuto Hidaka
(born August 5, 1972) is a Japanese professional wrestler, currently performing for Pro Wrestling Noah (Noah). Hidaka was the regular partner of Minoru Fujita, with whom he has held the Zero1-Max International Lightweight Tag Team and Intercontinental Tag Team Titles, making them the only team to do so. He has also worked for Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW). Takuya Sugi
is a Japanese professional wrestler from Shizuoka. He currently works in Pro Wrestling Zero1 (Zero1) as Sugi (stylized in all capital letters), but he has used many aliases, most commonly Yoshitsune and Sugi, through his career in many Japanese promotions. He is mainly known for his high-flying abilities. Takuya Sugawara
is a Japanese professional wrestler, currently wrestling for Pro Wrestling Zero1. Career Toryumon/Dragon Gate (2001–2004) He debuted in the 9th term of Toryumon 2000 Project as Henry III Sugawara, an English prince character. He joined with and eventually with Anthony W. Mori and Phillip J. Fukumasa, forming the Royal Brothers unit in T2P. The gimmick was that all three wrestlers were royal princes. However, the Royal Brothers would never make much of an impact. Fukamasa retired almost immediately after T2P closed, and Sugawara spent most of his time back in Mexico while Mori wrestled in Toryumon. When he finally came to Toryumon himself, he was courted by heel stable Aagan Iisou, led by Shuji Kondo. is a Japanese professional wrestler better known by the ring name Hub (stylized in all capital letters), currently working as a freelancer and is best known for his tenure with the Japanese promotions Big Japan Pro Wrestling (BJW) and Osaka Pro Wrestling (OPW). Jonathan Gresham (born March 20, 1988) is an American professional wrestler currently signed to Impact Wrestling. He has previously wrestled for All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and Ring of Honor (ROH), where he is a former ROH World Champion, ROH Pure Champion, and ROH World Tag Team Champion with Jay Lethal.
