Tenika Willison
Tenika Willison (born 7 December 1997) is a New Zealand rugby sevens player. She plays for Chiefs Manawa in the Super Rugby Aupiki competition. She also plays for the Black Ferns sevens internationally and won a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics. Rugby career Rugby sevens Willison debuted for the Black Ferns Sevens side in 2016. She competed for New Zealand in the women's sevens tournament at the 2020 Summer Olympics where she won a gold medal. Willison was named in the Black Ferns Sevens squad for the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. She won a bronze medal at the event. She later competed in her second Rugby World Cup Sevens in Cape Town and won a silver medal. Jackson Willison
Jackson Dan Kingi Willison (born ) is a New Zealand rugby union player. His regular playing position is as a centre. Willison played for the in Super Rugby from 2009 to 2012, and was part of the title winning Chiefs in 2012. He has also played for the in Super Rugby and Waikato in the Mitre 10 Cup. In 2012 he was selected for the Māori All Blacks end of year tour. For 2013 Willison was initially included in the Chiefs, before being delisted by coach Dave Rennie while he sought to contract Counties-Manukau midfielder Bundee Aki. Blues coach John Kirwan acted quickly to sign Willison and move him to Auckland. At the start of 2014, it was announced that he would leave the after the 2014 Super Rugby season to join French Top 14 side Grenoble on a two-year contract. The New Zealand women's national rugby sevens team represents New Zealand in the World Rugby Sevens Series, Rugby World Cup Sevens, Summer Olympic Games and the Commonwealth Games. The team has participated in all rounds of the World Rugby Women's Sevens Series since the competition's inception in 2012–13. New Zealand competed at the 2009 Rugby World Cup Sevens in Dubai. 2023 Laurie O'Reilly Cup
The 2023 Laurie O'Reilly Cup was the 14th edition of the rugby union competition. Australia hosted the Black Ferns in the first O’Reilly Cup match on June 29 in Brisbane, it also doubled as a Pacific Four Series test. The second match took place in Hamilton, New Zealand on 30 September. The Black Ferns retained the O’Reilly Cup after winning both tests. 2023 Pacific Four Series
The 2023 Pacific Four Series was the third edition of the Pacific Four Series, an international women's rugby union tournament that served as one of the principal qualification routes for the top two tiers of WXV. The tournament was hosted by Spain, Australia and Canada. The series took place over three months. The first round saw Canada and the United States play the opening match in Madrid on 1 April 2023, followed by Australia hosting New Zealand on 29 June 2023 in Brisbane. The series concluded in Canada with all four teams competing over two weekends in early July for the title. New Zealand Women's National Rugby Union Team
The New Zealand women's rugby union team, called the Black Ferns, represents New Zealand in women's international rugby union, which is regarded as the country's national sport. The team has won six out of nine Women's Rugby World Cup tournaments. They have an 85 per cent winning record in Test match rugby, and are the only women's international side with a winning record against every opponent. Since their official international debut in 1990, the Black Ferns have lost to only four of the sixteen nations they have played against. The 2023 Super Rugby Aupiki season was the second season of Super Rugby Aupiki (known as Sky Super Rugby Aupiki for sponsorship reasons), a professional women's rugby union club competition organised by New Zealand Rugby. The competition ran from 25 February 2023when Hurricanes Poua and Chiefs Manawa played the opening match in Levinto 25 March 2023. The tournament was won by Matatū, who defeated Chiefs Manawa 33–31 in the final in Hamilton, earning them their first Super Rugby Aupiki title. That match also resulted in the Chiefs Manawa's first-ever loss in the two-year-old competition.
