Tengah Park MRT station is a future elevated Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the Jurong Region line located along the boundary of Tengah and Bukit Batok planning areas, Singapore. History On 9 May 2018, LTA announced that Tengah Park station would be part of the proposed Jurong Region line (JRL). The station will be constructed as part of Phase 2, JRL (East), consisting of 7 stations between Tengah and Pandan Reservoir, and is expected to be completed in 2028. 1 Island Platform
An island platform (also center platform, centre platform) is a station layout arrangement where a single platform is positioned between two tracks within a railway station, tram stop or transitway interchange. Island platforms are popular on twin-track routes due to pragmatic and cost reasons. Jurong Region MRT Line
The Jurong Region Line (JRL) is a future Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line that will serve the Jurong area and the western part of Singapore. It is one of the two future lines to be elevated in the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system. First announced in 2013, the JRL is set to open in stages from 2027 to 2029. The JRL will serve 24 stations, serving Choa Chu Kang in the north, Jurong Pier in the south, Peng Kang Hill in the west and Pandan Reservoir in the east. The line is coloured teal on the rail map. Tengah is a planning area and future HDB town located within the West Region of Singapore. It is bounded to by Choa Chu Kang to the northeast, Jurong East and Jurong West to the south, Bukit Batok to the east and the Western Water Catchment to its west and north. Bukit Batok
Bukit Batok, often abbreviated as Bt Batok, is a planning area and matured residential town located along the eastern boundary of the West Region of Singapore. Bukit Batok statistically ranks in as the 25th largest, the 12th most populous and the 11th most densely populated planning area in the Republic. It is bordered by six other planning areas - Choa Chu Kang to the North, northeast and northwest, Cashew to the northeast and east, Clementi to the south, Bukit Timah to the southeast, Jurong East to the southwest and Tengah to the west.
