''Tendance'' (French for ''Trend'') is a reissue of French singer Amanda Lear's studio album ''Heart''. The album was released in 2003 by Le Marais Prod. and Sony Music. Background ''Tendance'' is an expanded re-release of the 2001 studio album ''Heart'', taking its title from one of the songs, which in turn was named after a fashion and trends show hosted by Lear on French channel Match TV. Because of re-titling and significant changes to the track listing, ''Tendance'' is considered a separate release in Amanda Lear discography. ''Heart'' is a studio album by French singer Amanda Lear, first released in 2001 by Le Marais Prod. Background The album was recorded in 2001 at Barouf Studio and Studio Wolf with French producers FX Costello and Laurent Wolf, and was Lear's first album ever to be recorded entirely in France. It was also her first studio release of new material in six years, since 1995's ''Alter Ego''. In an interview, the singer explained that the long gap resulted from her lack of enthusiasm after numerous budget compilations started to appear on the market without her consent. She also revealed that on this album she was given more artistic freedom than before, and decided to include more melodic and sentimental songs. Amanda Lear (; born 1939) is a French singer, songwriter, painter, television presenter, actress, and former model. She began her professional career as a fashion model in the mid-1960s, and went on to model for Paco Rabanne, Ossie Clark, and others. She met Spanish surrealist painter Salvador Dalí, and remained his closest friend and muse for the next 15 years. Nacht und Nebel were a Belgian new wave band, founded by Patrick Nebel, best known for their hit single " Beats of Love". The group earned four Top 20 hits in Belgium in 1984 and 1985, before disbanding in 1986 due to Nebel's death. Career Patrick Nebel was born Patrick Marina Schools on 23 November 1958 in Merksem and formed the band in the early 1980s. The name was a pun on Nacht und Nebel (German: "Night and Fog") – the directive designed by Adolf Hitler which resulted in the kidnapping and forced disappearance of most enemies of the Third Reich. After releasing a four-track EP ''Alcatraz'' in 1981, the band debuted with the album ''Casablanca'' in 1982, which met with good reviews but not a commercial success. Giuseppe Cristiano Malgioglio (; born 23 April 1945) is an Italian composer, singer-songwriter, showman and television personality. Biography Born in Ramacca, Catania, Malgioglio obtained his first contract with a record label, Durium, thanks to the efforts of Fabrizio De André. In 1974 he composed Iva Zanicchi's song "Ciao cara come stai?" ("Hi darling, How Are You?"), which won the Sanremo Music Festival.
