Ten Wanted Men
''Ten Wanted Men'' is a 1955 American Western film directed by Bruce Humberstone and starring Randolph Scott. Plot Adam Stewart, a lawyer heading west with grown son Howie, is persuaded by brother John to settle down near him in Ocatilla, Arizona, where he has a ranch and romantic interest in a widow, Corinne Michaels. The menacing degenerate rancher Wick Campbell has an attractive servant girl, Maria Segura, and also lusts for her, but she wants nothing to do with him. Her interest in Howie strikes a jealous chord in Campbell, who hires gunfighters led by Frank Scavo to rid the region of the meddlesome (in his opinion) Stewarts once and for all. Campbell's thugs kill a rancher and stampede cattle. One picks a fight with Howie, who surprisingly beats him to the draw in self-defense, only to be locked up by Sheriff Gibbons, falsely accused of murder. Howie busts out and flees with Maria. Harry Joe Brown
Harry Joe Brown (September 22, 1890 – April 28, 1972) was an American film producer, and earlier a theatre and film director. Biography Harry Joe Brown was born in 1890 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As a producer, he had a partnership with director Budd Boetticher, actor Randolph Scott and screenwriter Burt Kennedy, which generated a series of five westerns between 1957 and 1960 (''The Tall T, Decision at Sundown, Buchanan Rides Alone, Ride Lonesome, Comanche Station'') via a company he created with Scott which eventually became known as Ranown Pictures Corp. He produced the American debut films of both Errol Flynn in '' Captain Blood'' and Sean Flynn in ''Son of Captain Blood''. Minor Watson (December 22, 1889 – July 28, 1965) was a prominent character actor. He appeared in 111 movies made between 1913 and 1956. Denver Dell Pyle (May 11, 1920 – December 25, 1997) was an American film and television actor and director. He was well known for a number of TV roles from the 1960s through the 1980s, including his portrayal of Briscoe Darling Jr. in several episodes of ''The Andy Griffith Show,'' as Jesse Duke in ''The Dukes of Hazzard'' from 1979 to 1985, as Mad Jack in the NBC television series ''The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams'', and as the titular character's father, Buck Webb, in CBS's ''The Doris Day Show''. She appeared more than 100 times in movies and television series in the 1950s and 1960s, almost always as a leading lady. Biography Early life Born on December 26, 1929, in the Green Bank section of Washington Township, New Jersey, Crowley graduated from Egg Harbor City High School in 1946. On August 7, 1949, the 19-year-old Crowley won the title of Miss New Jersey at a contest held at Asbury Park, New Jersey.
