Temporary People
''Temporary People'' is the seventh studio album by American singer-songwriter Joseph Arthur, released on September 30, 2008, on Lonely Astronaut Records. Co-produced by both Arthur and Kenny Siegal – who had previously worked with Arthur on ''Nuclear Daydream'' (2006) – the album was recorded with backing band The Lonely Astronauts, and features guest musician Garth Hudson on organ and piano. The album was preceded by the release of four solo EPs – ''Could We Survive'', ''Crazy Rain'', ''Vagabond Skies'' and '' Foreign Girls'' – with Arthur later stating that ''Temporary Peoples overall impact and reception was affected by this: "When I put out ''Temporary People'' I had just put out four EPs, so it was kind of hard to get anybody pay attention to it. Joseph Arthur
Joseph Arthur (born September 28, 1971) is an American singer-songwriter and artist from Akron, Ohio. He is best known for his solo material, and as a member of Fistful of Mercy and RNDM. Arthur has built his reputation over the years through critically acclaimed releases and constant touring; his unique solo live performances often incorporate the use of a number of distortion and loop pedals, and his shows are recorded live at the soundboard and made available to concertgoers immediately following the show on recordable media. Arthur was discovered by Peter Gabriel in the mid-1990s, and signed to Gabriel's Real World label as the first North American artist on the label's roster. Sibyl Buck (born May 27, 1972) is an American musician, yoga instructor, and fashion model. Biography Born in Versailles, France, Buck started her modeling career in 1992 and has worked for Yves Saint-Laurent, Chanel, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Alexander McQueen, and many other fashion houses. After quitting the modeling industry in 1998, Buck became a mother and began playing rock music in bands. She played bass and sang in Champions of Sound with Chris Traynor of Orange 9mm and Helmet, and with Sergio Vega of Quicksand. Jennifer "Jen" Turner is a singer/songwriter musician and producer. Career 1991–1997: session and touring guitar player Turner first became popular for her work writing and touring with Natalie Merchant on her multi-platinum album ''Tigerlily'' as guitarist and backing vocalist alongside Peter Yanowitz on drums and Barrie Maguire on bass guitar. Dumbo (or DUMBO, short for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) is a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. The area known as Dumbo used to be known as Gairville.
