Playing career After starting her career with KR, Telma played for Breiðablik during the 2006–07 season where she averaged 11.1 points and 10.9 rebounds per game. The following season she signed with Haukar. During her first season with Haukar, she averaged 7.7 points and 10.8 rebounds per game. The Keflavík women's basketball team, commonly known as Keflavík, is the women's basketball department of Keflavík ÍF (Keflavík, íþrótta- og ungmennafélag), based in the town of Reykjanesbær in Iceland. Stjarnan Women's Basketball
The Stjarnan women's basketball team, commonly known as Stjarnan, is the women's basketball department of Ungmennafélagið Stjarnan, based in the town of Garðabær, Iceland. History In 2009, disgruntled Ármann players, unhappy with poor training facilities and lack of practice time, contacted Stjarnan and inquired if the board would be interested in starting a women's team. The board responded positively and in the end the entire Ármann team transferred over. Stjarnan finished first in the second-tier 1. deild kvenna in 2015 and defeated Njarðvík in the playoffs to win promotion to the top-tier Úrvalsdeild kvenna for the first time in its history. After a disappointing first season, where high scoring guard Chelsie Schweers was fired mid-season and head coach Baldur Ingi Jónasson resigned before the seasons end, Stjarnan bounced back in 2016-2017 behind Danielle Rodriguez stellar play and made it to the playoffs. The Valur women's basketball team, commonly known as Valur, is a basketball team based in Reykjavík, Iceland. It is part of the Valur multi-sport club. In 2019, it won its first national championship. Recent history Valur played in the 2018 Úrvalsdeild finals, losing to Haukar 2-3. In April 2019, Valur won its first ever national championship when it beat Keflavík in the Úrvalsdeild finals 3-0. The team opened the 2019–20 season by defeating Keflavík, 105-81, in the annual Icelandic Super Cup.
