"Tell Me" is a 1998 song by British singer Billie Myers, released as the second single from her debut album, ''Growing, Pains''. It reached number 28 on the UK charts, which compared to her previous single was a commercial failure. Critical reception Larry Flick from ''Billboard'' wrote that the song "has a stompin' alterna-rock attack that allows Myers to flex her quivering, melodramatic vocal style to maximum effect." He added further that producer Desmond Child's "pop savvy is evident in a mix that counters the forceful guitar/drum execution with cushiony keyboards and a spree of fluttering sitar lines. Holding everything together is a sticky chorus that picks up to an anthemic pace by the track's close. Billie Myers
Billie Myers (born 14 June 1971) is a British rock singer and songwriter from Coventry, England. She is known principally for her 1997 transatlantic hit "Kiss the Rain". Biography Myers was born in Coventry to a Jamaican father and English mother. Before commencing her career in music, Myers was a nurse and insurance agent. She was discovered in a club by record producer Peter Harris. Soon after their first meeting, Myers began writing material for her debut album, ''Growing, Pains'' (1997). The album was produced by Desmond Child. The first single from the album, "Kiss the Rain", became a Top 20 hit. Myers was signed to a recording contract with Universal Records in 1997. Singles from ''Growing, Pains'' have appeared on television commercials and in the TV series, ''Dawson's Creek''. ''Growing, Pains'' achieved gold record status in 1997, and Myers' follow-up album, ''Vertigo'', was issued in 2000. Her vocal style is a combination of pop, jazz and world music. She was given ... New Sunday Times
The ''New Straits Times'' is an English-language newspaper published in Malaysia. It is Malaysia's oldest newspaper still in print (though not the first), having been founded as ''The Straits Times'' on 15 July 1845. It was relaunched as the ''New Straits Times'' on 13 August 1974. The paper served as Malaysia's only broadsheet format English-language newspaper. However, following the example of British newspapers ''The Times'' and ''The Independent'', a tabloid version first rolled off the presses on 1 September 2004 and since 18 April 2005, the newspaper has been published only in tabloid size, ending a 160-year-old tradition of broadsheet publication. The ''New Straits Times'' currently retails at RM1.50 (~37 US cents) in Peninsular Malaysia. As of 2 January 2019, the group editor of the newspaper is Rashid Yusof.
