Cimișlia
Cimișlia () is a town located in the southern part of Moldova situated on the banks of the Cogâlnic River, between the capital of Chișinău and the autonomous territorial unit of Gagauzia ( ro, Găgăuzia). Cimişlia had a population of 11,997 according to the 2014 census. The town is also the seat/administrative center ( ro, Oraș-reședință) of Cimișlia District. Telenești
Telenești () is a city in Moldova, located 91 kilometres to the north of the capital city, Chișinău. Telenești is the administrative center of the eponymous district. Three villages are administered by the city: Mihălașa, Mihălașa Nouă and Izvoraș. As of 2004, it had a population of 6,855, 89 percent of whom were Moldovan. Rîșcani (, also spelled ''Râșcani'') is a city in Moldova, the capital of the Rîșcani District. It is located along the Copăceanca river, about 22 kilometres from the station in Drochia. Two villages are administered by the city, Bălanul Nou and Rămăzan. History During the interwar period, the city was the seat of Plasa Râșcani, in Bălți County, Romania. A number of Bessarabian Germans lived in the village from its founding in 1865, who called it ''Ryschkanowka''. The German population was forcibly removed in 1940; among the Germans expelled from Rîșcani were the parents of later German president Horst Köhler. Rezina
Rezina is a city in Moldova and the capital of Rezina District. Three villages are administered by the city: Boşerniţa, Ciorna and Stohnaia. Geography In the northeastern part of Moldova, as far as 98 km from Chișinău, the town of Rezina is situated on three successive terraces formed by the picturesque right bank of the Dniester. The lowest terrace (along the Dniester) houses the older town, the second one (on the hill slope) contains buildings constructed in the 1950-60s, while the upper terrace is the seat of the new town constructed in the 1970-90s. Drochia
Drochia () is a city in the northern part of Moldova. It is the administrative center of the eponymous district. The city is located north of the national capital, Chișinău, and north-east of the Romanian city of Iaşi. The average elevation of Drochia is 226 meters. The population at the 2004 census was 16,606. The name of the city comes from a local type of bird, called ''dropie'' (English: great bustard). History Drochia is first mentioned by chroniclers in 1777. By 1830 it was a small settlement encompassing 25 families. A document dating from 1847 notes that a small grape-processing plant, the town's first industrial enterprise, had been built. Dondușeni () is a city in the north of Moldova. It is the administrative, economic, and cultural center of Dondușeni District. Its postal code is MD-5102. The population at the 2004 census was 9,801. Demographics At the 1930 census, the locality (then a village) was known as ''Dondoșani-Gară'' (literally ''Dondoșani Station''), and had a population of 953.
