The Telenor Masters was a women's professional golf tournament on the Swedish Golf Tour, played between 2008 and 2010. It was held in Kungsbacka near Gothenburg, Sweden. Teenage twins Jacqueline and Caroline Hedwall finished top at the inaugural event in 2008, played at Barsebäck Golf & Country Club, their home club. Kungsbacka
Kungsbacka () (old da, Kongsbakke) is a locality and the seat of Kungsbacka Municipality in Halland County, Sweden, with 19,057 inhabitants in 2010. It is one of the most affluent parts of Sweden, in part due to its simultaneous proximity to the countryside and the large city of Gothenburg. Its mayor since 2020 is Lisa Andersson. 2008 Swedish Golf Tour (women)
The 2008 Swedish Golf Tour, known as the SAS Masters Tour for sponsorship reasons, was the 23rd season of the Swedish Golf Tour, a series of professional golf tournaments for women held in Sweden and Finland. Scandinavian Airlines replaced Telia Company as the tour's main sponsor and minimum purse for tournaments were raised to SEK 300,000. The sponsorship agreement amounted to a total of SEK 55 million and included the men's SAS Masters (formerly Scandinavian Masters) and women's SAS Masters in Norway. The Swedish International, held since 1962 and included on the tour since its inception in 1986, was discontinued. Nina Reis (born 16 February 1980) is a retired Swedish professional golfer who played on the Ladies European Tour (LET) and LPGA Tour. She was runner-up at the 2008 Göteborg Masters after an LET joint record 11-under-par round of 61 and finished top-10 at the 2006 Women's British Open. Amateur career Reis was part of the Swedish team, together with Kristina Engström, Anna Gertsson, Mikaela Parmlid, Helena Svensson and Linda Wessberg, which won the 2001 European Ladies' Team Championship at Golf de Mais, Spain. The 2009 Swedish Golf Tour, known as the SAS Masters Tour for sponsorship reasons, was the 24th season of the Swedish Golf Tour, a series of professional golf tournaments for women held in Sweden and Finland. 2009 was the second and final season with Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) as main sponsor, as the airline ran into financial difficulties due to the Great Recession. Purses were reduced and the LET event Göteborg Masters, where 25 places were reserved for players of the tour, was cancelled. Fredrik Ulf Yngve Jacobson (born 26 September 1974) is a Swedish professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour and formerly the European Tour. Early life Jacobson was born in Kungsbacka, 30 kilometers south of Gothenburg, at the west coast of Sweden. At young age, he was a promising ice hockey player. When Jacobson was 10 years old, he started playing golf. Jacqueline Ingrid Hedwall (born 13 May 1989) is a Swedish professional golfer and caddie who played briefly on the Ladies European Tour (LET). As an amateur, she won the Junior Solheim Cup, the European Girls' Team Championship, and the European Ladies' Team Championship (twice) together with her twin sister, Caroline Hedwall.
