Telenor Culture Award
Telenor Culture Prize, titled 'Boundless Communication', is given annually to performing artists or organizations that have made an extraordinary contribution within culture in Scandinavia, but who also are established internationally. The prize was awarded for the first time in 1995 and since then has recognized artists and artistic organizations every year representing multiple disciplines. The prize is awarded to individuals, groups or institutions that have made a significant contribution to culture, across geographical, social and cultural borders. Lars Saabye Christensen
Lars Saabye Christensen (born 21 September 1953 in Oslo) is a Norwegian/Danish author. Saabye Christensen was raised in the Skillebekk neighbourhood of Oslo, but lived for many years in Sortland in northern Norway; both places play a major role in his work. He lives in Blindern, the university district of Oslo. Olafur Eliasson ( is, Ólafur Elíasson; born 5 February 1967) is an Icelandic–Danish artist known for sculptured and large-scale installation art employing elemental materials such as light, water, and air temperature to enhance the viewer's experience. In 1995 he established Studio Olafur Eliasson in Berlin, a laboratory for spatial research. Liv Johanne Ullmann (born 16 December 1938) is a Norwegian actress and film director. Jonas Bendiksen (born 1977) is a Norwegian photojournalist based near Oslo. He has published the books ''Satellites'' (2006) and ''The Places We Live'' (2008) and received awards from World Press Photo, International Center of Photography, National Magazine Awards and Pictures of the Year International. Marilyn Mazur
Marilyn Mazur (born January 18, 1955) is an American-born Danish percussionist. Since 1975, she has worked as a percussionist with various groups, among them Six Winds with Alex Riel. Mazur is primarily an autodidact, but she has a degree in percussion from the Royal Danish Academy of Music. Musical life Mazur was born in New York City in 1955, from Polish and African-American parents, who moved with her to Denmark at age 6. She learned to play the piano, but when she was 19, she took up drumming, inspired by Al Foster, Airto Moreira, and Alex Riel. She started her first band in 1973, ''Zirenes''.
