División Minúscula
División Minúscula (Spanish for "Minuscule Division") is a Mexican rock band from Matamoros, Tamaulipas. History The four members of División Minúscula, Javier Blake (singer-guitarist), Ricci Pérez (guitarist), Kiko Blake (drummer) and Alejandro Luque (bassist), formed the band in late 90s, in the town of Matamoros, Tamaulipas. After reuniting they hooked up with Toy Hernandez, the man behind Control Machete, who signed them to his Sones del Mexside label. The group’s 2001 debut was ''Extrañando Casa'' ("Homesick"). After a five-year hiatus the band reunited and released a new record, ''Defecto Perfecto'' ("Perfect Defect"). The group were nominated in the MTV Video Music Awards Latin America in two categories, "Promising Artist" and "Best Alternative Act", but didn't win anything. Juan Son
Juan Carlos Pereda (born January 24, 1984 in Guadalajara, Mexico) is a Mexican singer and composer of experimental music. He was the vocals of the alternative rock band Porter and collaborated with Simone Pace (Blonde Redhead) as the drummer for AEIOU. He also performs solo under the pseudonym Juan Son. His musical style is described as "a beautiful concoction of confident lyricism, squeezebox rock, Mexican folk, electronic tinkering, and theatrical dance music." Biography Juan Son, born Juan Carlos Pereda in 1984, started his artistic career in 2001 with Nouveau, a Guadalajara rock band. Alejandro Sanz
Alejandro Sánchez Pizarro, better known as Alejandro Sanz (; born 18 December 1968), is a Spanish musician, singer and composer. Sanz has won 22 Latin Grammy Awards and four Grammy Awards. He has received the Latin Grammy for Latin Grammy Award for Album of the Year, Album of the Year three times. The singer is notable for his flamenco-influenced ballads, and has also experimented with several other genres including pop music, pop, rock music, rock, funk, contemporary R&B, R&B and jazz. Ha*Ash is an American Latin pop duo from Lake Charles, Louisiana. The band was formed in 2002 by sisters Hanna Nicole (born 1985) and Ashley Grace (born 1987). The group's name is an portmanteau of letters from their first names. They have released five studio albums, with the most recent, ''30 de Febrero'', being released in 2017. Luis Alberto Cuevas Olmedo (born September 12, 1967), better known as Beto Cuevas (), is a Chilean-Canadian singer, song writer, plastic artist, painter, and actor. He is the lead singer for the Chilean band La Ley. In 2008 he launched his solo career with the release of his album, ''Miedo Escénico''. Gustavo Adrián Cerati (11 August 1959 – 4 September 2014) was an Argentine singer-songwriter, composer and producer, considered one of the most important and influential figures of Ibero-American rock. Cerati along with his band Soda Stereo, were one of the most popular and influential rock and pop groups of the 1980s and 1990s. Cerati was the recipient of many awards throughout his career including various Grammys, MTV awards, as well as the MTV (Latin America) Legend Award with Soda Stereo, the first of its kind.
