''Tehzeeb'' () is a 1971 Pakistani film. It stars Rani, Shahid, Saeed Khan Rangeela, Aslam Pervaiz and Lehri. The makers of this film were asked to change a reference to Egypt (Misr in Urdu language) because it might prove detrimental to diplomatic relations with that country. While the line ''Laga hai Misr ka bazaar dekho'' () changed to ''Laga hai husn ka bazaar dekho'' () in the movie soundtrack, audio-recordings of the film song had already sold in good numbers. Hassan Tariq (22 October 1934 – 24 April 1982) was a Pakistani film director, film producer and screenwriter who was famous for making films like Anjuman, Kaneez, Baharo Phool Barsao, ''Dewar Bhabhi''. Early life and career Hassan was born on 22 October 1934 in Amritsar, India. He migrated to Pakistan after its establishment. He started his career as an assistant director. He directed his first film, ''Neend'' (Sleep) in 1959 and became a successful director. He made around 40 films in Pakistan film industry and was the main reason behind the success of his wife Rani. Safirullah Siddiqui, commonly known as Lehri (2 January 1929 – 13 September 2012), was a Pakistani comedian and an actor in the Urdu film industry of Pakistan. He is still considered one of the most acclaimed comedians of South Asia. Lehri is also known as the comedy king in the Pakistan film industry. He won 12 Nigar Awards for "Best Comedian" from 1963 to 1982. Early life Safirullah was born on 2 January 1929 in Kanpur, British India. Saifuddin Saif (20 July 1922 12 July 1993) was a Pakistani lyricist, poet, film producer-director, and the founder of Rehnuma Films, a film studio of 1954. He was involved in writing poems and lyrics before and after the Partition. However, most of his films written before partition remained unreleased due to political instabilities in the subcontinent.
