Tehran's Allame Helli 3 High School
Allameh Helli No.3 High School is an education center established in 2008. It was the second NODET high school in the Iranian capital city of Tehran. The naming of the school was based on its former status as the third established NODET guidance school. However, even though Allameh Helli became separated from NODET two years following inception, the name of the high school did not change. About the school Facilities include laboratories, administrative, classes, computer suites, hall and praying room. The school is four stories high. In 2011, the school population was around 350. The school is located in the " Niavaran" district. School achievements include obtaining Olympiad medals and taking part in 2011 global RoboCup competitions. National Organization For Development Of Exceptional Talents
National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents (NODET; fa, سازمان ملی پرورش استعدادهای درخشان ''Sāzmān-e Melli-ye Parvareŝ-e Este'dādhā-ye Deraxŝān'', or ''SAMPAD'') is an Iranian organization that recruits students for middle and high schools through a two-step set of exams at each level. The organization is aimed to provide a unique educational environment for the exceptionally talented students. History The organization was founded in 1976 as the National Iranian Organization for Gifted and Talented Education (NIOGATE). The original faculty were trained by a visiting group of educators from the United States. After the revolution, the schools were shut down for a few years but were later re-opened. Elshan Moradi Abadi ( fa, الشن مرادی آبادی , born 22 May 1985) is an Iranian-American chess grandmaster. He took part in the Chess World Cup 2011, but was eliminated in the first round by Leinier Domínguez. When he was 16 he won the 2001 Iranian Chess Championship with a score of 10/11, ahead of Ehsan Ghaem Maghami. He was one of the members of Iran national team in the first World Mind Sports Games held in Beijing (2008), in which the Iranian team surprisingly clinched the third place ahead of Hungary, USA and India. In 2009 he tied for 3rd–8th with Anton Filippov, Vadim Malakhatko, Merab Gagunashvili, Alexander Shabalov and Niaz Murshed in the Ravana Challenge Tournament in Colombo. Farzanegan Schools ( fa, مدرسه فرزانگان ) are girls-only schools located in the cities of Iran, administered under the National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents. The schools, which include middle school and high school, are part of gifted and talented schools in Iran. Each year, the schools have entrance examinations that help recognize talented students. Maryam Mirzakhani
Maryam Mirzakhani ( fa, مریم میرزاخانی, ; 12 May 1977 – 14 July 2017) was an Iranian mathematician and a professor of mathematics at Stanford University. Her research topics included Teichmüller theory, hyperbolic geometry, ergodic theory, and symplectic geometry. In 2005, as a result of her research, she was honored in ''Popular Science's'' fourth annual "Brilliant 10" in which she was acknowledged as one of the top 10 young minds who have pushed their fields in innovative directions.
