Teferra Wolde-Semait
Teferra Wolde-Semait ( gez, ተፈራ ወልደሰማዕት; 11 September 1938 – 25 June 2013) was an Ethiopian politician who has served as Ministry of Finance and Economic Development (Ethiopia), Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, and chairman of the board of the National Bank of Ethiopia from 1977 to 1982. Early years Teferra Wolde-Semait was born in Sheno, Kembibit, Sheno, a town located in the Kembibit district of Shewa, Ethiopia, on 11 September 1938. His mother was Jemanesh Bedane and his father was Wolde-Semait Maremi. He was the youngest of five children, the others being Tegegn, Bekele, Tirunesh and Zenebech. Ethiopian Name
Ethiopians are the native inhabitants of Ethiopia, as well as the global diaspora of Ethiopia. Ethiopians constitute several component ethnic groups, many of which are closely related to ethnic groups in neighboring Eritrea and other parts of the Horn of Africa. Kembibit
Kembibit is a woreda in Oromia Region, Ethiopia. Part of the Kaba Shewa Zone, Kembibit is bordered on the south by Berehna Aleltu, on the west by Wuchalena Jido, on the north by Abichuna Gne'a, and on the east by the Amhara Region. The administrative center of this woreda is Sheno; other towns in Kembibit include Hamus Gebeya and Kotu. Demographics The 2007 national census reported a total population for this woreda of 74,276, of whom 36,989 were men and 37,287 were women; 11,799 or 15.89% of its population were urban dwellers. Wollo (Amharic: ወሎ) was a historical province of northern Ethiopia that overlayed part of the present day Amhara, Afar, and Tigray regions.
