TEEN LINE has been running since 1985, making it one of the oldest help hotlines in the country. Teen volunteers who are currently in (or about to enter) high school apply during the three training sessions a year (Summer, Spring, Fall) by completing a written application and an interview. A hotline is a point-to-point communications link in which a call is automatically directed to the preselected destination without any additional action by the user when the end instrument goes off-hook.
