Teela
Teela is a fictional superheroine from the ''Masters of the Universe'' franchise. She is the Captain of the Royal Guard at the palace of Eternos and thus responsible for training and protecting Prince Adam of Eternia. While Adam is He-Man, Teela often assists him in his battles, but she is unaware of his alternate identity. Teela is one of the first characters developed for ''Masters of the Universe'', although her figure was released in the second half of the first wave. Writer Donald F. Glut named her after Gunga Ram's elephant from the ''Andy's Gang'' television show. Origin She is the daughter of Man at Arms and the Sorceress of Power. The Sorceress of Castle Grayskull, also known as Teela Na, is a fictional superhero from the '' Masters of the Universe'' franchise. Her first appearance was in "He-Man and the Power Sword" (1981). Appearances Original MOTU mini-comics The Sorceress first appears in the '' He-Man and the Power Sword'' mini-comic. ''He-Man and the Masters of the Universe'' is an American animated television series. Developed for television by Michael Halperin, who created the original series, it is produced by Mike Young Productions. It served as an update of the 1980s Filmation series, produced to coincide with Mattel's revival of the Masters of the Universe franchise eleven years after its previous attempt. The series ran on Cartoon Network's Toonami programming block between August 16, 2002, and January 10, 2004.
