Ted Sarandis
Theodore A. Sarandis is an American sports radio personality in Boston who was the host of the ''Ted Nation'' show that was broadcast weeknights on Boston sports radio station WEEI from 1992 until September 2005. He was also the play by play announcer for Boston College Basketball from 1995 to 2010. Sarandis is a graduate of Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University. Broadcast career WEEI During his tenure on WEEI, Sarandis was an advocate for college sports in the Boston area. Sarandis' program ''Ted Nation'' aired weeknights from 7pm to midnight. His former time slot at WEEI was taken over by Mike Adams with the ''Planet Mikey'' show. Boston College basketball Sarandis announced Boston College's (BC) men's basketball games from 1995 until 2010, when he was replaced by Jon Meterparel prior to the 2010–2011 season. Lowell Lock Monsters
The Lowell Devils were a minor ice hockey team in the American Hockey League playing in Lowell, Massachusetts, at the Tsongas Center. As their name implied, they were the top minor league affiliate of the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League. The team was founded in 1998 as the Lowell Lock Monsters and was purchased by the Devils in 2006. After the 2009–10 season, the Devils agreed to move the Lowell franchise to Albany, New York, where their previous AHL affiliate, the Albany River Rats, had played. The new team then became the Albany Devils. Massachusetts Volunteer Militia
The Massachusetts State Defense Force (MSDF) is the currently inactive state defense force of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. It was inactivated in 2016 by Governor Charlie Baker. The purpose of the Massachusetts State Defense Force, when active, is to augment the Massachusetts National Guard during emergencies in the state, especially when some or all of the National Guard was deployed. The MSDF is an all-volunteer militia which reported to the State Adjutant General and was under the command of the Governor of Massachusetts.
