Ted Piccard
Ted Piccard (born November 30, 1978 in Albertville) is a French freestyle skier, specializing in ski cross and a former alpine skier. Piccard competed at the 2010 Winter Olympics for France. He placed 16th in the qualifying round in ski cross, to advance to the knockout stages. In the first round, he failed to finish, and did not advance. As of March 2013, his best showing at the World Championships is 29th, in 2009. Piccard made his World Cup debut in January 2005. As of March 2013, he has one World Cup podium finish, winning a bronze in 2009–10 at Alpe d'Huez. His best World Cup overall finish in aerials is 7th, in 2011–12. He was named after US Senator Ted Kennedy. Albertville (; Arpitan: ''Arbèrtvile'') is a subprefecture of the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in Southeastern France. Ski Cross
Ski cross is a skiing competition which incorporates terrain features traditionally found in freestyle skiing with courses which include big-air jumps and high-banked turns. In spite of the fact that it is a timed racing event, it is often considered a type of freestyle skiing. What sets ski cross apart from other alpine skiing disciplines is that it involves more than one skier racing down the course. Any intentional contact with other competitors like grabbing or any other forms of contact meant to give the competitor an advantage leads to disqualification. Ski cross is a part of the FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships, the world championship organized by the FIS for freestyle skiing. Leila Piccard (born 11 January 1971) is a French former alpine skier who competed in the 1994 Winter Olympics and 1998 Winter Olympics. Franck Piccard
Franck Piccard (born 17 September 1965) is a French former Alpine skier. A native of Les Saisies, Piccard won a total of four Alpine skiing World Cup races. At the 1988 Olympics in Calgary he won a gold medal in the Super-G competition (the first winter Olympic gold-medal for a French athlete since ski racer Jean-Claude Killy in 1968, who became a three-times gold-medallist) and a bronze medal in the downhill. At the 1992 Olympics in Albertville he won a silver medal in the downhill.
