Ted Downing
Ted Downing is a former member of the Arizona House of Representatives from January 2003 until January 2007. In 2000 he ran for the State House of Representatives for District 13. Along with Gabrielle Giffords, he was one of the two candidates to win the Democratic primary. However, in the general election, while Giffords won, Downing came in third, losing to Carol Somers. In November 2002, he ran again for the house, this time in District 28 following redistricting, and won. He won re-election to the House in 2004. In 2006, Downing decided not to seek re-election to the House, and chose to run for the State Senate. Arizona 28th Legislative District
Arizona's 28th Legislative District (LD28) is one of 30 in the state, situated in central Maricopa County. The district is composed of the town of Paradise Valley, Arizona, Paradise Valley and much of North Central Phoenix, including the Arcadia (Phoenix), Arcadia, Biltmore Area, Biltmore, and Sunnyslope, Phoenix, Sunnyslope neighborhoods. As of 2021, there are 57 precincts in the district, with a total registered voter population of 150,713. The district's overall population is 234,609. Steve Farley
Steve Farley (born December 24, 1962) is an American politician, artist, and graphic designer who previously served as a State Senator from Arizona, including serving in the capacity of assistant minority leader. He also served previously in the Arizona House of Representatives, serving as assistant minority leader there as well. He is a member of the Democratic Party. On June 5, 2017, Farley announced he was running for Governor of Arizona in the 2018 election, challenging Republican incumbent Governor Doug Ducey, but lost in the Democratic primary. Paula Aboud (born March 20, 1950) is an American politician who was a member of the Arizona Senate, representing the 28th District. A Democrat, she served as the Senate's minority whip. Early life Aboud was born in Tucson, Arizona. She attended Tucson High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Arizona.
