The Teatro Coliseo is a theatre in Retiro neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Argentina which opened on July 8, 1905. History The Coliseum Theatre opened in 1905 as living the American circus clown Frank Brown, of great importance in the origins of the Creole circus and theater in Argentina. On August 27, 1920 from the terrace of the same Enrique Telémaco Susini made one of the first radio broadcasts in history, inaugurating there the LOR Radio Argentina. The theater was closed in 1937, and its building bought by the Italian government, designed some projects for its transformation into a cultural center, where exhibitions and events were held. However, the ideas were cut short by the outbreak of World War II, the building was partially demolished in 1938, and the ruins were vacant lot behind a wall. Tony Bennett
Anthony Dominick Benedetto (born August 3, 1926), known professionally as Tony Bennett, is an American retired singer of traditional pop standards, big band, show tunes, and jazz. Bennett is also a painter, having created works under his birth name that are on permanent public display in several institutions. He is the founder of the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts in Astoria, Queens, New York. Bennett began singing at an early age. Mastropiero que nunca was a theatrical humour/music show by Les Luthiers. It was first performed on Friday 9 September 1977 and last done on Sunday 27 February 1983 (although it was headlining only during 1977 and 1978). It consisted of nine new (never performed previously) live numbers, which ranged from a madrigal to a salsa skit. It was the first show where Les Luthiers experimented with the use of light as a dramatic element, collaborating with stage lighting professional Tito Diz. Les Luthiers
Les Luthiers is an Argentine comedy-musical group, very popular also in several other Spanish-speaking countries including Paraguay, Guatemala, Peru, Chile, Ecuador, Spain, Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay, Bolivia, Cuba, Costa Rica and Venezuela. They were formed in 1967 by Gerardo Masana, during the height of a period of very intense choral music activity in Argentina's state universities. Their outstanding characteristic is the home-made musical instruments (hence the name ''luthiers'', French for "musical instrument maker"), some of them extremely sophisticated, which they skillfully employ in their recitals to produce music and texts full of high class and refined humor. Morcheeba
Morcheeba is an English electronic band formed in the mid-1990s with founding members vocalist Skye Edwards and the brothers Paul and Ross Godfrey. They mix influences from trip hop, rock music, rock, folk rock and downtempo, and have produced ten regular studio albums since 1995, two of which reached the UK top ten. Edwards left the band in 2003, after which the brothers used a number of singers before she rejoined in 2009. They recruit additional members for their live performances and have toured internationally. In 2014 Paul Godfrey resigned from the band.
