Team Virtu Cycling Women
Team Virtu Cycling Women was a UCI Women's cycling team based in Denmark, that competed between 2015 and 2019. Team history In November 2016 it was announced that Bjarne Riis and Lars Seier (Riis-Seier Project) took over the women's team BMS BIRN and the men's team , with the latter being renamed Team VéloCONCEPT and the former becoming Team VéloCONCEPT Women for the 2017 season. After the addition of a new investor into the team in September 2017, Brøndby IF football team chairman Jan Beck Andersen, the cycling team's name changed to Team Virtu Cycling. Road Bicycle Racing
Road bicycle racing is the cycle sport discipline of road cycling, held primarily on Road surface, paved roads. Road racing is the most popular professional sport, professional form of bicycle racing, in terms of numbers of competitors, events and spectators. The two most common competition formats are mass start events, where riders start simultaneously (though sometimes with a Handicapping, handicap) and race to a set finish point; and time trials, where individual time trial, individual riders or team time trial, teams race a course alone against the clock. Stage races or "tours" take multiple days, and consist of several mass-start or time-trial stages ridden consecutively. Professional racing originated in Western Europe, centred in France, Spain, Italy and the Low Countries. Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig
Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig (born 23 August 1995) is a Danish professional road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . Career As a junior, she competed at the 2012 UCI Road World Championships and the 2013 UCI Road World Championships. In the 2018 La Course by Le Tour de France she finished in 4th place, with her teammate Ashleigh Moolman taking the final podium place. She also took the mountains classification in this race. After this race she gave her first of what would become several excitable interviews, with this one including advice for any cyclist who has bad legs to have their wisdom teeth removed. At the very end she said was so excited for chocolate and champagne and pizza and vacation. Over the next few years her results in France would only get better. Christina Malling Siggaard (born 24 March 1994) is a Danish former professional racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2014 and 2021 for the Firefighters Upsala CK, , and teams.
