Team Van Vliet
Delta Cycling Rotterdam was a Dutch professional cycling team. In 2008, it holds a Continental license. The team started in 2003. Among the riders that first year were current professional cyclists Rick Flens and Martijn Maaskant. In 2004, Tom Leezer and Sebastiaan Langeveld. Floris Goesinnen also rode for Van Vliet. Johnny Hoogerland, Bram Schmitz and Joost van Leijen are the most successful riders in the team history. In 2008, Ronan van Zandbeek became Dutch road champion with the espoirs. In 2010 the team is sponsored by Focus Bikes. De Vlaamse Pijl ( en, Flemish Arrow) is a Belgian road bicycle race held annually since 1968. The race starts and ends in Harelbeke. Johnny Hoogerland
Johnny Hoogerland (born 13 May 1983) is a Dutch former professional cyclist, who rode professionally between 2004 and 2016 for the Van Hermet–Eurogifts, , , , and squads. Due to the prominent bull-tattoo on his arm and his roots from the peninsula of Zuid-Beveland he is nicknamed the "Bull of Beveland". He had a reputation of being an aggressive rider who took part in long breakaways. His most notable victory was the overall classification of the Driedaagse van West-Vlaanderen in 2009, where he also won a stage. Career In 2009 Hoogerland won the Driedaagse van West-Vlaanderen, taking stage 1 along the way. He finished in 12th place in both the Tour of Flanders and the GC of the Vuelta. Olympia's Tour
The Olympia's Tour is a cycling stage race held in the Netherlands. History A.S.C. Olympia was founded in Amsterdam on 27 November 1898. It ran one-day races but wanted a race through all the Netherlands. The first Olympia's Tour was in 1909, with three stages and one rest day. The second in 1910 went to Maastricht and Groningen. It was 17 years before the third race, partly because races on public roads were forbidden in the Netherlands during the First World War. An international field with 16 Germans, the champions of Switzerland and Luxembourg and around 40 Dutch riders left the Rembrandtplein on 17 August 1927. The Dutch were mainly amateurs, the Germans sponsored riders who rode for bicycle manufacturers such as Opel and Diamant which provided material and a support team. The German Rudolf Wolke won after four stages and 800 kilometres ahead of Janus Braspennincx. It was the last race until 1955.
